How To Light and Adjust a Bunsen Burner
Effective use of the bunsen burner in the lab requires being able to light the burner and produce a flame as pictured at left. This flame consists of a pale violet/blue, bushy outer flame around a bright blue inner cone. The hottest part of the flame is at the tip of the inner cone.
